○具体的内容新学習指導要領(小学校)では「子ども達に科学的な見方や考え方」を生活科でも培っていくべきだという方向性を示しており、本研究はその内容に直結する課題である。本研究では、特に入門期の子ども達を対象とし、文献研究や先進校視察、及び実際の授業研究によって、子ども達が熱中しながら、遊びの中に含まれてる科学を獲得していく授業のモデルを事例研究を通して考察していった。その中で(1)学習材に内在されている価値について教師が自覚的であること(2)共に活動せざるを得ないような環境を構成すること(3)子ども達のつぶやきに対しての教師からの価値付けが大切であることを取り出すことができた。授業モデルという側面から考えれば入門期の子ども達にとっては(1)子ども達が気付きを深めるための科学遊びそのもの条件…大きなもの、ダイナミックなもの。体一杯で関わらざるを得ないものが有効である。(2)子ども達が科学遊びに没頭することができる学習の場の構成…競争心をあおるものが有効である。(3)子ども達が科学遊びを通して得た内容をできるだけ客観的に把握する評価の方法…遊びの中で閃いたアイデアについて、言語化させることが有効である。以上の3点が明らかになった。本研究における象徴的な授業として「砂場で遊ぼう(第1学年)」「長い糸電話を作ろう(第1学年)」を挙げる。この二つの授業を通して、以下のような授業モデルが有効であると考える。1学習材…ダイナミックなものを準備する2教師が活動の条件付けをする(例)砂場に雨樋をもってくる、運動場の隅から隅まで届く糸電話をつくる3活動構成…条件に基づいた自由製作→他のチームのよさの取り入れ→自由製作の繰り返し4言語化…工夫したこと、よかったと思うアイデアをペアやグループで話しをさせる。
