○研究目的本研究は、創造的失敗(creative failure)を恐れず繰り返すことができ、セレンディピティ(serendipity、偶然察知能力)を養える要素も含み、また非効率だとしても数多くの「うまくいかないこと」を経験し、それを「失敗」としてではなく「たった一つの結果」として受け入れさせ、それに観察や創意工夫を重ねることが「単なる失敗」を「大成功!」へと導く方法であることを知り学ばせるため、「うまくいかないことは失敗じゃない!」をキーワードに、子供たちが楽しみながら興味を持って取り組めるものづくり教材の開発を目的とした。○研究方法分析:小学生(高学年)対象のからくりを用いた教材とし、開発に必要な資料の収集・実地調査・分析を行う。設計:からくり候補ならびに新学習指導要綱を踏まえた教材の構成を決定、作製キットの設計・試作を行う。開発:作製キットならびに動作解説用映像やワークシートなどを含めたものづくり教材の開発を行う。○研究成果●数多くあるからくりの中から新学習指導要綱(小学理科「物質エネルギー」5.6年)のテーマである「振り子」「てこ」「おもり(物質)の移動と状態変化」の原理が応用された「連理返り人形」を教材とし、キットを設計。●本来はおもりとして水銀を用いるが安全性を考慮し、代替に粘性流体や球体などで検討・試作・検証。●おもりの異なる「連理返り作製キット(1セット@\500-程度×5種類)」が完成。●作製キットは連理返りの原理が見られるように、一部をクリアタイプとし観察・考察を可能にした。●作製キットの「見える化」により、いくつかのうまくいかない動作とその原因を容易に確認が可能。●うまくいかないことを観察し、創意工夫を重ね、その検証を繰返すことで因果関係の実証が可能と確認。●作製キットの設計・試作・検証を繰返し行ったことで「うまくいかないは失敗じゃない!」を実感・再認識。●作製キットの動作映像やワークシート、チェックシート、各種資料などを含めたものづくり教材の開発。●これらの内容をまとめ、「平成23年度神戸大学実験実習技術研究会」において発表・報告を行った。
