本研究実践は原則週4時間、年間35週にわたって行う英語授業において、中学校教科書シラバスに基づくプロジェクト学習に基づく自己表現活動を最終目標として以下の流れのもと指導していくものとして設計した。本学附属中学2年生120名(海外生活の経験のある生徒なし、ほぼ全員が小学校において外国語活動を経験してきており、小学校において文法指導は受けていないものの英語を聞く、話すという経験済み)を対象にして行った。交流者は大阪教育大学国際センターの協力で、各国からの留学生で中学生との交流希望者を募り、数回のビデオチャット(スカイプ)交流を行った。その前後で電話による口頭英語スピーキング能力測定試験「バーサントJr. テスト」を行い、以下の5観点((1)Sentence Structure(2)Listening Vocabulary(3)Word Meaning(4)Fluency(5)Pronunciation)での点数の伸びを見た。生徒は前年度に同じテストを受験しているので、そのデータと照らし合わせ、どの観点に伸びが著しいのかを検証した。このテストの採用理由は、コンピュータによる客観的評価(公平性)、問題の公正性、妥当性、周囲を気にすることなく自分自身の力を測定できる(情意フィルターを下げる)といった点を考慮している。結果として、(4)流暢性に関しての伸びが著しく見られた。これは1.英語使用のオーセンティックな場面設定による生徒の言語使用機会が保障されたこと2.経験を重ねることで間違いを恐れず言語使用に関する自信がついたことなどが考えられる。SNSに関しては、中学生に関して、使用頻度と活用習慣に個人差があり、本実践において効果を測定するには限界があったといえる。今後の研究においてさらなる効果的な運用のための研究設計を行うことが課題として残った。

This study was conducted in accordance with the principle of 4 weeks and 35 weeks of teaching in English and middle school textbooks. 120 students from 2-year secondary school affiliated to this school (students from overseas life, students from all primary schools, grammar guidance from primary schools, students from foreign language activities) The exchange participants are invited to participate in international cooperation at Osaka University of Education, international students from various countries, and exchange hopes among middle school students. In the past year, the number of students in the same class has been increased. The reason for the adoption of this article is to consider the evaluation of the customer (fairness), the fairness of the problem, the appropriateness of the situation, and the determination of its own strength. SNS is related to high school students, frequency of use and habits of individual differences, practice and results, and limits.
