项目摘要

本研究の目的は、家庭科の「清掃活動」の学習において、児童の姿を根本的に覆し意欲的な取り組みを能動的に行えるようになるには、どのような学習方法が有効か明らかにすることである。そこで、科学的視点を導入して、清掃の意義を視覚的に確認することが、児童の内面に与える効果について児童の意識と行動の変容を調査することによって検証した。科学的視点の導入についての具体的事項としては、約10μm程度のダストまで見ることが出来る超強力ハンディライト「ポラリオンライト」を用いて見える化を図り、清掃直後の床面などを照射した。すると、拭いきれていない汚れが照らし出され、児童の「清掃したから当然きれいである」という意識を根底から揺るがし、何をどのようにすれば汚れを取り去ることができるのかという清掃への関心を駆り立てることができた。その後、場所や物、時間帯などに分けて汚れを調査し分析しデータ化した。そしてそれらに見合った清掃の仕方を調べたり聞き取りしたりして清掃活動を行った。その際、清掃前後の汚れ具合をライトで照射して画像・映像で納め、清掃の成果を図った。学習による成果は以下のとおりである。第1に、「児童の清掃活動への意識と行動をあらわす様相図」の結果から、学習前と学習後での自分たちの清掃活動への意識が大きく変容したことが明らかとなり、清掃の仕方や態度の振り返りを客観的に行うことができた。第2に、清掃への関心が高まり清掃の正しい取り組み方が意識され、実践され、その後の清掃時間では、無駄な動きがなく効果的に活動に取り組むことができた。第3に、家庭でも清掃活動に関心を持つ児童が多く、保護者と共に継続的な取り組みが行われるようになった。以上、本研究を通して科学的視点の導入が清掃の意義と必要性を児童に効果的に与えることが明らかとなった。
