《本研究の目的》課題解決(意思決定など)を目的としたタスク(的な)活動を中心とした指導法(活動前,中,後)を基に,中学校で英語の技能を総合的に扱い,統合的に育成する言語活動の指導法のあり方を,筆者による授業実践を通して明らかにする。《研究の内容と方法》(1)検定教科書を用いながら指導する中で,年間4回の技能統合型タスク(的な)活動を実践した。(2)(1)の4回の各活動で使用する(1)活動シート,(2)振り返りシート,(3)フィードバック用モデルダイアログ,(4)個人評価シート,(5)フィードバック・文法指導用プレゼンテーションを作成した。(3)特に英語学習の入門期である中学校段階の生徒が,(2)(4)のシートを用いて四技能を総合的に活用しながら,積極的に発話できるための指導手順を明らかにした。a)活動シート(A,B)の各役割別グループに分かれ,グループ内で相談しながら,設定された場面で使用されうる表現を書き出し,会話のイメージを創る。b)a)で表現を書いたシートを回収し,活動に取り組む。c)活動前に書き出した表現と実際に使った表現を比較し,場面に合った表現について考える。(4)各活動での発話をICレコーダーに録音し,分析結果を基に,個別に助言を与えた。また,全体に形式と意味に焦点を当てたフィートバックとしての文法指導をした後に,プラクティスとして同一タスク活動の繰り返しに取り組ませた。(5)目標文法構造の使用の「正確さ」と「適切さ」をはかるリスニングテストを作成した。《研究の成果》・(3)の手順で定期的に活動を実践した結果,生徒は技能を総合的に活用しながら活動に取り組み,活動中に用いた一定の文法構造への理解と使用が「正確」かつ「適切」なものになった。・検定教科書を中心とした指導とタスク(的な)活動を有機的に結びつけることができた。
