研究目的平成21年12月発行の高等学校学習指導要領解説数学編理数編では、日本の生徒は、「思考力・判断力・表現力を問う読解力や記述式問題、知識・技能を活用する問題に課題がある」と述べられている。そこで、この問題を解消することを目的として、本研究を計画した。研究方法第一段階は、中に数字を書いた紙コップを使用し、数字を昇順に並び替えるというソートを体験させた。2つのコップを選択し、その2つに書いてある数字の大小のみを知ることができるという条件下で実施した。その中で、どのようなルールでソートすれば効率よくソートできるかを考えさせた。第二段階は、考えたソートや有名なソートについて、その最小・最大回数を数学的に検証した。第三段階は、学習したことを基に、Excelを用い、VBAでソートのプログラムを作成し、そのプログラムの改善に取り組んだ。第四段階は、学習成果をまとめ、理系コース発表会でPCを用いたプレゼンテーションを行った。研究成果第一段階では、ソートという概念を体感・理解させることができた。自らの力でソートの完成と、ソートを行うためのルールを考えることができた、このことにより、問題解決のための思考力を培うことができた。第二段階では、正確なソートの回数が得るために、既習内容である数列の知識を活用することができた。第三段階では、プログラムの改善を通して、問題解決のための思考力・判断力を培うことができた。第四段階では、発表会での発表会を通して、他者に物事を伝えるという表現力の伸長が得られた。
