幼児期は、心身の発育発達が盛んで、自分の体に関心を持ち、基本的な生活習慣を確立する重要な時期である。そのため、この時期に、幼児自身が健康な生活を送る必要性を理解し、健康行動を実践する力を育てる健康教育は重要である。しかし、(1)幼児の生活実態調査が十分行われておらず、(2)担任や養護教諭が実施している健康教育内容や保護者の求める健康教育内容について調査が行われていない。そこで、本研究では、保護者から幼児の生活実態および指導を望む健康教育内容を把握し、また担任や養護教諭が実践している健康教育内容を把握することを目的としてアンケート調査を行った。調査方法は、平成24年7月、全国の国立大学附属幼稚園49園のうち、了解の得られた園にアンケート用紙を郵送し、5歳児学年の幼児をもつ保護者およびその担任、養護教諭に配布し、回収・返送してもらった。その結果、計43園から返送があり、有効回答は、保護者1757件、担任77件、養護教諭43件であった。調査の結果、次のようなことがわかった。幼児の生活実態として、(1)食物の好き嫌がある62.4%、(2)通園時間30分未満が83.7%、さらに戸外遊びの時間は30分～1時間が34.8%であり、園外で体を動かす時間が少ない傾向が見られた。(3)習い事に通っている90.5%、習い事の時間は週に2時間以上が50.9%であった。実際に担任が実施している健康教育内容は、(1)手洗いうがい96.2%(2)道路の歩き方94。9%(3)体を動かして遊ぶ91%(4)友達との仲直り84.6%・プールあそびの注意84.6%であり、園生活での健康安全に関わる内容が多かった。養護教諭では(1)手洗いうがい84,1%(2)歯のブラッシング63.6%(3)早寝早起き61.4%・鼻かみ咳エチケット61.4%(5)睡眠・栄養56.8%の順に実施が多く、病気の予防の視点での内容が中心だった。また、保護者が望んでいる内容は、(1)手洗いうがい75」%(2)体を動かして遊ぶ72.9%(3)知らない人についていかない66.1%(4)困った時、つらい時の対処法645%(5)病気や障害のある人への理解62.1%の順に多く、日常の生活習慣だけでなく、心理的な考え方や行動についての理解も求めている傾向が認められた。

Childhood is an important period for the development of body and mind, the maintenance of self-care and the establishment of basic living habits. Health education is important for children to understand the necessity of healthy living and to act healthily.
