【研究目的】本校では、『体力アップ ラン』と称して授業のはじめに長距離走を取り入れている。青空の下のランニングは、持久力をつけるだけでなく、爽快感もあり、意欲的に取り組む姿が見られた。しかし、石川県は、雨が多い地域である。また、11月にはいると、雪などで天候は荒れ始める。11月から3月中旬までは、屋外での運動が、困難になる。スポーツを楽しむ時間を十分確保するとともに、体力アップをはかりたい。そこで、短い時間で効果があり、生徒の実態(体力、年齢、性別、運動経験など)によってアレンジが容易な「TABATAプロトコル」を取り入れたエクササイズを授業開始時に実践しようと考えた。身体及び心にどのような効果があるのか検証した。【研究方法】①立命館大学の田畑泉先生を講師に招いて、意識付けをはかった。②様々な屋内の活動場所、体育館、講堂、トレーニングルームで授業のはじめに「TABATAプロトコル」を師範や映像を用いて実施(ビデオカメラやデジタルカメラで記録)する。取り組みを、石川県高等学校保健体育研究部会で発表した。③生徒を対象にアンケートを取り、結果をまとめた。【研究成果】北陸など冬季に天候が悪く屋外で授業が実施できない地域で、主単元を十分行う時間を確保しながら体力アップをはかることができた。意欲的に取り組む姿がみられた。特に、狭い場所でも、スットップウォッチさえあれば、手軽にでき、準備に時間と手間がかからないことは、継続という視点で考えたとき非常に有効であった。今後の課題としては、種目に合わせた運動のアレンジや組み合わせの工夫や卒業後の生活に取り入れるような取り組みができるかである。
