「音楽科授業研究における『民族誌的方法』適用の可能性」という本課題に対し、今年度は具体的に次の3つの方向から研究実績を提出しようとしてきた。第一に、「授業の世界」という調査対象そのものに取り組む前に、子どもの主体的思考の源泉である子どもの今日の日常生活経験のありよう(=「子どもの世界」)を探った。その結果、それが肥大化した「学校文化」によって浸食されている状況が明らかになった。なおこの点について、1996年度・教育方法学会の課題研究「子どもの文化状況と教育実践の課題」として発表し、その内容が『教育方法26』に掲載される予定となっている。次に第二として、上述の「子どもの世界」を探っているうちに、「授業の世界」を明らかにする上での思考の枠組みとして、それを単純に教師と子どもによる意味の構築過程であると見るだけでなく、小川博久が指摘している「子どもの文化」を囲繞する「大人の文化」という視点を導入する必要性を感じた。そこで囲繞される「大人の分化」「子どもの文化」「教師の文化」という三者間の相互の関係性としての「授業」という枠組みを、保育における「環境」という概念を用いて明らかにする事を現在試みている。なお、この成果については、この前段階としての「保育環境における表現」と題される論文が近々刊行される予定になっている。最後に第三として、教師も子どもも、その時々における「大人の文化」状況に囲繞され、なおかつ子どもは、その時々の「教師の文化」に囲繞されている以上、「教師の世界」についてもさらに深く捉えておく必要性を感じ、現在ライフヒストリー研究を思考モデルにそれを進めている。なお、以上の3点を研究実績に基づき、現在具体的な「授業の世界」についての「民族誌的調査」を行っている最中である。
