間(ポ-ズ)と抑揚(イントネーション)のありかたに着目させながら音読指導を展開していくばあいには、「音声録聞見」(デイテル社)と「ビジ・ピッチ(Visi-pitch II)」(KAY社)という二つの音声解析ソフトの活用が有効性をもつものとされてきた。本研究では、この二つのソフトをもちいた音読の実地指導をおこない、その結果、以下のようなことが明らかになった。1)ピッチ曲線によって入力された音声データを視覚的に表示できるこの二つの音声ソフトはともに、みずからの音読がどのような間(ポ-ズ)と抑揚(イントネーション)によって構成されているのかを自覚させるうえで有効であった。また、こうした音声解析ソフトを導入することによって、すぐれた音読とみずからの音読の差異に対して明確な課題意識をもたせることができた。こうした点で、音声解析システムを活用した音読指導は、今後の学校現場において積極的に展開されていく必要があり、そうした指導は、自己学習力の育成という教育上の観点からいっても高い実効性と豊かな可能性を有していることが明らかになった。2)解析データの表示という点では、「音声録聞見」は一画面が3秒分であるのに対して、「ビジ・ピッチ(Visi-pitch II)」は一画面で9秒分の入力データを表示できるので、文のまとまりに即した指導を展開をしていくうえでは、このソフトの方が有効であり、リアルタイムにピッチの波形を見ながら、その音読のバリエーションを変化させることができる点で、「Visi-pitch II」の方が実践的にもすぐれていた。今後は、以上の結果を踏まえて、さらに実地指導を重ね、メタ認知能力の発達という点も考慮に入れながら、いっそう実証的・実践的に本研究を発展させていく必要がある。
