项目摘要

本研究は、子供の社会化過程において、親と子がそれぞれどのような家族像を形成していくのかについて探求することを目的としている。焦点は特に、父親・母親の日常的行為がどのように子供の中で、それぞれについての役割意識として反映されていくのか、という点に当てられている。親という存在の特殊性を浮かび上がらせるためには、比較の対象となる親以外の保育者が存在する場が望ましいと考え、調査対象地として保育園を選んだ。調査方法は、親に対しては、基本的に共働きであって時間的制約の多いと思われるので、質問紙を用いた調査を行った。その内容は、家庭内での家事・育児分担、子育てにおける自らの役割についての意識、子育てを通じての自己像の変化などを等ものである。一方、子供に対しては、逆に質問紙調査を行うことは無理であるので、保育園で参与観察を行った。ままごとなど、家族的場面が遊びの中で再現される様子や、子供一人一人の個性と親の育て方、しつけの仕方などがどのように結びついているのか、保母の話を参考にしながら観察した。それと共に、その場で子供と会話を交わし、それによって子供が親をどのように見ているのか、また家族という場を保育園との比較においてどのように位置づけているのか、探っていった。子供の対象年齢は4.5歳児クラスとした。保育園に子供を通わせる家庭では、父親の家事・育児分担は多い方であると思われる。それでも調査から、実際には母親の家事・育児分担率は父親のそれに比べてかなり高く、また子育てに対する責任意識のあり方は、両者で異なることがわかった。子供の親役割に対する認識もそれに応じたものとなるが、その反面、父親が家庭内のことに関わるとそれを必ず話題にするなど、父親の家事・育児参加への子供の評価は高いといえる。
