この2年間の作業によってフランスから持ち帰ったマイクロフィルムのプリント・アウトは終了した。マレショーセの組織面に関する史料(セーヌ=マリティーム県文書館の地方長官文書serice及び陸軍古文書館文書serie Ya他)は殆ど読み終え、コンピュータにデータを入力した。この研究の成果は1998年12月の九州史学会で「1720年のマレショーセ改革」と題して報告した。また、1999年4月の日本法制史学会では「1720年のマレショーセ改革の歴史的意義-フランス絶対王政の統治システムとの関連から-」と題する報告を行う。いずれの報告も近く論文として公表する予定である。ただし、当初予定していたマレショーセの具体的な活動に関連するプレヴォ裁判文書(セーヌ=マリティーム県文書館serie B)の読解までは進めなかった。アプローチの柱の1つであるマレショーセを取り巻く諸権力との関係に関しては、領主裁判権に関する研究及び地方長官制度に関する研究を並行して進めた。前者に関しては、故志垣嘉夫氏の論文集(仮題『フランス絶対王政と領主裁判権』、九州大学出版会より2000年春出版予定)の解題として、及びアンジュー地方の領主裁判に関する最新の論文(Soleil(S.),“Le maintien des justices seigneuriales a la fin del'Ancien Regime")の翻訳・解説として現在まとめている。後者に関しては、ある研究誌からの依頼で、安成英樹著『フランス絶対王政とエリート官僚』(1998年)の書評論文としてまとめることがすでに決まっている。
