本年度は,昨年度からの研究を継続して進めた。被験者として自閉症児3名を対象として,記憶更新過程を反映する電位である事象関連電位P3を指標とした検査を実施した。聴覚刺激によるオドボール条件と刺激欠落条件,視覚刺激によるオドボール条件と刺激欠落条件の4刺激呈示条件について,能動的弁別反応を負荷する課題条件と受動的無課題条件の2課題条件のもとで検査を実施することとした。対象児のうち1名については,聴覚刺激による実験のみの実施となった。自閉症児は共通して,聴覚刺激に対して,課題条件ではP3の出現が認められたが,無課題条件ではP3は出現しなかった。一方,視覚刺激に対しては,健常者では無課題条件でP3が出現しないにも関わらず,自閉症児ではP3が出現した。これらのことから,自閉症児における感覚モダリテイと課題関連性の関係は,健常者とは異なるパタンを示すことが推察された。自閉症児を対象とした検査と並行して,健常者ならびに知的障害を有する児童(知的障害児とする)を対象として,聴覚刺激を用いたオドボール条件による事象関連電位の測定を実施した。知的障害児におけるP3の出現パタンは,自閉症児よりも健常者に近い傾向を示した。但し,P3の頂点潜時は健常者に比べると遅延する傾向が見られた。このことより,自閉症児は,自閉症を伴わない知的障害児とも異なる特異的な記憶更新過程を有していることが推察された。
