项目摘要

本研究では,困難校の高校生の動機づけと自立学習を促すような高校用教科書補助教材の開発を試みた。筆者のこれまでの研究成果,持に平成8年度から行なっていた「クラス内学力格差に対応する中学教科書補助教材の開発ストラテジー」 (平成8年度科学研究費補助金の研究課題)を応用したものである。まず,文献・資料の収集とその整理を行った。その結果把握できたことは,動機づけや自立学習を促進する教材で底学力者向けに作成されているものは,極めて少ないということである。検定教科書ですら,難易度の点で現場の実態にそぐわないとされるものが多かった。こうした場合は,現場の教師が各自の現場の実態に適合するプリントなどの補助教材を,それぞれの工夫で作成する必要性が発生するが,これに伴う教師の負担は莫大なものであるということが再認識された。次に,市販の高校生用の基礎問題集,高校教科書付属ワークブック,教師自作のプリントのそれぞれに対する個々の生徒の難易度判定と学習意欲の変化を調べた。結果,大方のものについて,生徒の7割以上が各自の学力レべルと当該教材のレベルの間に大きな格差を感じ,学習意欲喪失の一因となっていることが明らかになった。こうした問題を改善すべく,現場との行き来を通じて試作タスクを作成した。そして,作成されたタスクに対する個々の生徒の難易度判定と学習意欲の変化を調べた。結果は概ね期待されていたものであった。最終的に,現場教師から試作タスクに対するフィードバック (使い易さ,生徒の反応,要望etc.)を受けつつ,一冊の教材を完成させた。今後これを複数の現場に配布したり,流通させるべく展開する計画である。
