【研究1】社会福祉施設における介護等体験後の学生の意識と実施上の課題(1年次より継続)目的:本研究では,社会福祉施設における介護等体験が学生に及ぼす影響を把握し,実施上の課題を明らかにすることを目的とした。結果:社会福祉施設での介護等体験を終えた学生の多くは,体験そのものに満足感をもち,将来の教職生活に生かせると考えるなど,positiveな影響を受けていた。しかし,時間的,精神的負担や戸惑いを感じながら活動に携わった学生も多く,少数ではあるが,体験は教職活動に生かされないととらえている(negativeな影響を受けている)学生もいることが明らかになった。また,学生から,事前・事後指導の内容充実等の要望が出された。【研究2】ボランティア活動体験者における体験の活用について目的:本研究では,ボランティア活動体験者(本学卒業生)の,当時の体験内容,現在の障害児教育等に対する関心,教職活動への体験の活用等について把握し,介護等体験学生が,体験をより前向きに教職活動に生かそうとする意欲を高めるための指導の在り方について示唆を得ることを目的とした。結果:ボランティア活動体験者の当時の体験内容は,介護等体験における体験内容と類似していた。また,ボランティア活動体験者は,介護等体験を終えた現役学生と比較して,障害児教育や福祉等に対する関心がやや高く,障害児教育経験の希望が非常に高かった。実際に,総合的な学習の時間に児童生徒に当時の体験を話したり,特殊学級との交流を推進したりするなど,自らのボランティア体験を教職活動に生かしている様子がうかがえた。一方で,当時活動中,障害児・者等との接し方や介護・介助の仕方等に関して戸惑いをもっていたことも明らかになり,介護等体験を終えた現役学生と共通の悩みを抱えながら活動していたことが分かった。このことから,介護等体験を行う現役学生に,体験の内容を教職活動に生かす意欲を持たせるようにするための具体的な指導を行う必要があることが示唆された。【研究1と研究2から得られた知見】介護等体験実施に際しては,次にあげる,より具体的で継続的な事前・事後指導を大学カリキュラムに組み込むなどして行う必要があると考えた。(1)事前に,障害児教育専攻の臨床実習の様子を映像で視聴したり,継続して実際に見学したりする機会を設ける。(2)事前に,障害児・者や高齢者と対面し,接し方や介助の仕方,介助の程度等について指導を直接受ける場を設ける。(3)事前に,学生同士で,移動,食事等の介護・介助活動の疑似体験を行う。(4)事前に,小・中学校における,交流教育や障害児の在籍の現状等についての講義を行う。(5)体験終了後,体験中に学んだことをはじめ,戸惑ったことや課題と感じたこと等を意見交換する機会を設ける。
