昨年度に引き続いて、『実隆公記』および三条西家本に関する研究論文の収集および文献目録の作成をすすめた。さらに、宮内庁書陵部所蔵の三条西家旧蔵本のうち、史料編纂所に複本を架蔵しないものについて、紙背文書を含めて写真の紙焼きの購入をはかった。これと『実隆公記』あるいは尊経閣文庫所蔵の三条西家旧蔵本などと対照することで、紙背文書より知られる三条西実隆の交際範囲の推移について、より詳細な検討が可能となった。そして、大まかにみて、永正初年ごろから国人領主層との書信のやりとりが増加することが分かってきた。この傾向は、実隆の社会的位置づけの上昇および安定という要因だけではなく、明応の政変による将軍権力の分裂に淵源する、北陸および中国地方の政治的位置の変化と関係があるように考えられる。また、東寺観智院金剛蔵聖教について京都府立総合資料館架蔵の写真帳による調査を行い、同聖教中に本来三条西家に伝存したはずの史料が若干ながら含まれていることを確認した。また、実隆と親交のあった連歌師宗祇の書状について、諸家の蒐集文書に含まれるものを中心に検討したところ、筆跡の珍重によって三条西家からも江戸時代のうちに巷間に流出した可能性のあることがわかった。昨年度から引き続いて検討した西園寺家旧蔵文書の伝来についても、江戸時代のうちから巷間に流出していたことが明らかであり、公家衆家伝の中世史料の伝来について研究するためには、江戸時代の公家日記の精査が今後の課題のひとつとなることを確認した。
