3〜6世紀の全羅南道地域産土器の日本列島での出土例を集成した。その結果、土器搬入状況の様相は、3〜4世紀代には、塔ノ首2号石棺墓例、西新町遺跡例など、対馬、北部九州のみに集中的に両耳付壺、鋸歯文土器が搬入されている。5世紀前葉〜中葉になると、北部九州の集落遺跡を中心に、夜臼・三代遺跡群例、井原上学遺跡例、吉武遺跡群例、在自小田遺跡例、冨地原川原田遺跡例など、鳥足文土器が出土し、継続して搬入が続けられている様相が見られる。それに加え、畿内においても、大庭寺遺跡例、伏尾遺跡例、小坂遺跡例など、土器生産関連遺跡から両耳付壺が、城山遺跡例、メノコ遺跡例、八尾南遺跡例、布留遺跡例など、集落遺跡から鳥足文土器が出土し、新たに搬入が始まったことが分かる。6世紀前半に入ると、北部九州では、在自下ノ原遺跡例、冨地原川原田遺跡例など、集落遺跡に鳥足文土器が搬入し続けられる他に、番塚古墳例、ハサコの宮2号墳例、梅林古墳例、相賀古墳例などのように、新たに古墳副葬品として鳥足文土器が搬入されるようになる。同時に、畿内においても、杣ノ内古墳群赤坂支群14号墳例、星塚1号墳例のように、鳥足文土器が古墳から出土するようになるが、集落遺跡には搬入されない。本研究の目的である、6世紀前半の継体朝の様相としては、北部九州と畿内中心部の古墳に、全羅南道地域産土器が搬入されている。それ以前には、古墳からの出土がほとんどないだけに注目できるが、継体擁立勢力の地域と重なるものではなかった。この様相は、上部支配層間の交流を示すものでない可能性が高いため、今後、全羅南道地域勢力、継体擁立勢力の上部支配層間の関係究明には、古墳墳形、埴輪、副葬品中の威信財など、政治性の高い属性の総合的な検討を進める必要がある。
