项目摘要

平成11年度に引き続いて、「郷土文学」及び中国近代文学関係資料の継続調査および研究交流に従事した。今年度は台湾淡江大学において学会発表を行い、そこに集った中国大陸、韓国、シンガポール、アメリカ等の研究者と交流することができた。意見交換を通して、中国国外における研究状況、また華僑の視点からみた中国文学について貴重な成果が得られた。また、アメリカ合衆国における胡適、謝冰心その他中国近代文人の足跡を辿ることによって、西洋文化の受容という側面から改めて研究対象に立ち返ることができたことも大きな収穫であった。現在、整理研究、継続調査中である。資料収集の上では、制限はありながらも、『河南文史資料』等の日本国内ではほとんど紹介されたことのない「郷土文学」作家関係基礎資料を入手することができた。以上の成果を踏まえ、新たな視点から積極的に発表していきたいと考えている。また、「郷土文学」を含む中国近現代文学の翻訳にも継続して取り組んでいる。こちらについても公刊発表していく予定である。今回の研究では、比較文学、文化的な視点も取り入れながら、「郷土文学」という文学活動の真面目を明らかにすることを企図し、未だ現在進行形ではあるが多くの成果をあげることができた。今後さらに発展させていきたい。また、「郷土文学」さらに魯迅の周辺という視点からも、日本人として中国近代文学と向き合う意味を新たに問い直したいと考えている。
