项目摘要

本研究では,応用の多様化に対応したOSおよびミドルウェアの構築環境である,OSビルダについての研究である.本年度は,昨年度までに設計をしたOS構成部品を用いて,OS構築モデルについての考察と,テストを行うものである.本年度の成果は次のとおりである.(1)OSモデルとして,従来のカーネルモデルに加えて,仮想マシンをベースとしたインタプリタ環境でのビルディングモデルについて考察を行った.これは,拡張の安全性と,コードサイズの縮小をターゲットとしており,具体的な応用例としては,組込みシステムや,ウェアラブルシステムでのカーネルを想定している.(2)ハードウェアが変化可能であるLEGO社のマインドストームをターゲットとして,このためのOSとして,本モデルを応用したシステム開発を行った.具体的には,C++を用いてクラスベースで拡張できるOSを開発し,動作の検証を行った.さらに,スケジューラなどの主要構成部品について,パラメータやモジュールを差し替えて実験可能にする環境の開発を行った.(3)各モジュール間の結合構造の変化と,それに応じた性能のプロファイリングデータを得ることができるように,グラフィカルな表示環境を開発した.これには,我々が開発してきたOS/omicron上で開発を行った.(4)アプリケーションごとにデータ管理モデルを拡張できるように,メモリをベースとしたインタフェースを提供し,アクセスメソッドを管理する機構を用意した.これによって,OS構築時もしくは,動的にデータの性質に応じた柔軟なデータ管理を可能にした.
