ネットワーク管理における障害管理支援システムとして,トラブルチケットシステムの構築を行った.データベースシステムの一種であるトラブルチケットシステムとは,障害発生から修復に至るまでのプロセスを管理するシステムであり,尚かつ過去の障害履歴の検索・参照が可能である.障害対応では,様々な専門家(ネットワーク管理者を除く)からのコメントが役立つ場合が非常に多いため,学内での幅広い知識共有が重要である.今回開発したシステムでは,資源重複の回避,障害スレッドの管理,および検索の容易性を考慮して,ニュースシステムを管理情報源としている.現在,チケットデータベースはファイル形式で保存されているが,検索の高速化やチケット管理の効率化を目指して,リレーショナルデータベースへの移植を進めている.本システムはユーザインタフェースにWWWブラウザを利用しており,検索の容易性とともに利便性を向上させている.本研究では,上記の障害管理支援に加えて構成管理支援システムを構築した.組織内LANにおける,DNS(Domain Name Service)管理は構成管理の主たる対象である.現在多くの組織内LANでは,コンピュータ等ネットワークに接続する機器を,組織内センター機関に登録申請する形態となっている.特にセンター組織における上記作業は,ルーチン化されており,特に専門知識を持たなくても作業が可能である.しかし申請書等の紙を媒体とする情報の蓄積,登録作業の負荷,および機器の検索において,非常に大きな負荷が発生している.本研究における構成管理支援システムでは,登録申請および検索をすべてオンライン化し,尚かつDNS管理情報にマッピングするシステムを構築した.しかも本システムでは登録承認の権限をセンター機関で確保できる機能を提供している.したがって,ルーチン化された業務のプロセスをシステム側で管理することにより,人的資源の有効利用が可能となった.本システムは,トラブルチケットシステムとあわせて,その基盤研究を終えており,以後発展研究として継続する.さらに,基盤研究の内容を体系化して,ネットワーク管理標準の策定と提案を行う予定である.
