平成13年度(Time 2)は、昨年度に実施した質問紙調査の追跡調査を一部郵送により行った。併行して、平成12年度(Time 1)に行った調査のデータ解析を継続して行った。分散分析を用いた横断的検討と重回帰分析を用いた縦断的検討から以下の点が明らかになった。1.Time 1の時点では、身体的発達段階が進んでいる児童ほど、身体への不満足感が強く、摂食障害傾向が高く、メディア情報摂取量が多く、自己の女性性を強く評価していた。このことは、既潮群と未潮群の比較だけではなく、未潮群においても、身体的発達がより進んだ段階にある児童のほうが心理的適応度が低かったことから、初潮経験以前においても思春期の身体発育が摂食障害傾向に結びついている可能性が示唆された。2.身体的発達段階が進んでいる児童は、Time 2の時点においても身体不満足感が強く、摂食障害傾向が高かった。しかし、メディア情報摂取量を統計的に統制すると、身体的発達と身体不満足感、および食行動異常度との関連は弱くなることから、身体的発達と摂食障害傾向の関連は少なくとも部分的にメディア情報摂取量が媒介していると考えられる。3.描画法による自己像を検討した結果、Time 1、Time 2を通じ、既潮群のほうが未潮群よりも女性的特徴を抑制した自己像を描いていることがわかった。このことは、シルエット画身体像での現実像と理想像のずれにも反映されるように、身体的発達が進んだ女子児童における痩身願望を表していると考えられた。
