平成13年度の研究実績は、主として以下の2点に集約することができる。第一に、バンコクで発行された英字新聞Bangkok Times(マイクロフィルム版)の1910年代から1930年代にかけての記事を総合的に調査し、以下の点について検証した。(1)英字新聞に掲載された欧米系企業の年次報告類を収集し、欧米系企業の事業概要を具体的に把握する作業を行なった。こうした企業については、バンコクに関するディレクトリー類と突き合わせつつ、人事配置や支店網の整備などの把握に努めた。(2)1910年前後の米不況を背景に、欧米系企業、中国系企業やインド系企業間の経済紛争が多数見うけられるようになる。そうした経済紛争を解決するためにタイ国内にも、地方裁判所(Cangwat Court)、控訴裁判所(Appeal Court)、最高裁判所(Dika Court)が整備されるようになる。依然として各国の領事裁判も残っていた。こうした経済関係裁判の経過や結果について、当時のバンコクの英字新聞は多数紹介している。こうした記事を総合的にまず収集し、基礎データの充実を計る事に務めた。中でも、最高裁判所の公判状況や判決に関する記事は、紛争の争点や背景を明確にし、しかも当時の裁判所の最終判断を知る上で、きわめて有益である。今後、タイの裁判所や各国の領事館の判例などを総合的に検証する必要があるが、こうした裁判関連記事を通じて、経済統計などではわからない、当時の商取引や経済関係の厳しい現実により深く接近する事ができた。第二に、上記2点のいわばミクロな視点とは別に、欧米系資本が従事した貿易そのものの統計的なデータ収集も続けた。特に、これまで総合的な収集と分析がされていないタイ通関統計(Foreign trade ＆ Navigation of the Port of Bangkok)を1906年から1939年まで総合的に収集し、そのデータについて、さしあたり米を対象に分析した。従来、米の輸出量に着目して、第二次世界大戦前の右肩上がり米貿易の成長が強調されてきたが、輸出額を詳細に検証すると1920年代後半が最も繁栄した時期であることが明かとなる。こうした点からも貿易統計の再検証が依然として重要だということがわかる。上記のように、本研究は、戦前期タイの欧米系資本の動向について、企業分析や経済関連裁判記録などに着目するミクロ的視点と貿易統計の分析に示されるようなマクロ的な視点とを複眼的に兼ね備えつつ、基礎的な実証研究を遂行した。今後はマクロ的な貿易の趨勢をより実証的に再検討しつつ、個別企業の企業史研究や経済裁判分析を実証的な歴史資料に基づきながら、着実に、そして事実を積み重ねながら、進めていくことが重要であると考える。

The research results of Heisei 13 are as follows: First, the Bangkok Times(Bangkok Times Edition) and the 1910s and 1930s have been investigated for the integration of historical records. The company's personnel allocation and maintenance of the branch network are under control. (2) In 1910, there were many disputes among European enterprises, China enterprises and German enterprises. Domestic courts, Cangwat Court, Appeal Court and Dika Court are all equipped to resolve disputes. The Consul General of each country remains in charge. The relationship between the judge and the results of the trial, the time of the trial, the English word news, the majority of the introduction This is the first time I've seen you. The Supreme Court's ruling status, judgment, record, dispute, background, and final judgment at the time are clear and useful. In the future, the court and the consulates of various countries will combine their jurisprudence and evidence, and the relevant records of the court will be communicated, statistics will be collected, and the relationship between the court and the consulates will be closely related. Second, the above two points of view, the European capital and trade and other statistics of the collection In particular, this comprehensive collection and analysis has been included in the Foreign Trade & Navigation of the Port of Bangkok statistics from 1906 to 1939. The growth of rice trade before the Second World Congress was highlighted in detail in the second half of the 1920s. The re-examination of trade statistics remains important. In this paper, we carry out the research on the trends of European capital, enterprise analysis, related judgment records, trade statistics analysis, and basic evidence. In the future, the trend of trade will be verified, and the enterprise history of individual enterprises will be studied and analyzed. The historical data will be verified, and the development and progress of the enterprise will be important.
