As part of the negotiation on for the appointment as a professor for the department Soft Matter we agreed on a high-speed camera system to support the experimental research. This system sould have the ability to visualise continuum dynamics with 5 million frames/s. The current research area benefitting from such as camera are cavitation in liquids and soft solids, drop impact at high velocities, coalescence of thin films, and oscillate boiling.
