方法:健康で右手利きの大学生男女各8名づつ、計16名に対し、倫理命題3条件(社会的・性的・中立)×倫理性2条件(倫理的・反倫理的×回答方法2条件(真・偽)×時間(前期・後期)の3×2×2×2の4要因計画のもと、Social and Sexual Deception protocol(二岡らが作成)という文章呈示課題を用い、その回答に際しての血流量の変化を光トポグラフィ装置(HITACHI ETG-100)を用いて計測した。結果:行動指標としての反応時間については、倫理命題3条件(社会的・性的・中立)×倫理性2条件(倫理的・反倫理的)×回答方法2条件(真・偽)の3要因の繰り返しのある分散分析を行った結果、倫理命題、倫理性、回答方法の有意な主効果、倫理命題と倫理性、倫理性と回答方法の有意な交互作用がみられた。下位検定の結果、社会的・性的な倫理命題においては、中立な倫理命題よりも反応時間が有意に長くなることがわかった。酸素化ヘモグロビンの変化については、倫理命題3条件(社会的・性的・中立)×倫理性2条件(倫理的・反倫理的)×回答方法2条件(真・偽)×時間(前期・後期)の4要因の繰り返しのある分散分析を行った結果、時間に有意な主効果がみられ、刺激呈示前期よりも後期において有意に高い酸素化ヘモグロビン値を示すことが明らかになった。また、倫理命題と時間の有意な交互作用(F[2/14]=7.71,p<.01)がみられ、下位検定の結果、性的な倫理命題においては、刺激呈示前期よりも後期において有意な酸素化ヘモグロビンの増加がみられたが、他の命題においては変化がみられなかった。
