项目摘要

本年度は、以下の調査を行った。1)前年度に漏れた沖縄地方公的機関所蔵および新蔵の絵図の補足調査(沖縄出張4回)2)民間所蔵の絵図の聞取り調査(沖縄・東京出張時と大阪にて)3)日本本土側の首里・那覇絵図所蔵状況の調査(東京国立博物館資料室)と所蔵機関からの絵図写真の入手(東京大学史料編纂所、東京国立博物館、古河歴史博物館、西尾市図書館、京都大学博物館など)。4)絵図についての既往研究の調査の続行以上を目的とする調査旅行を下記のように行った。なお、東京国立博物館資料室所蔵の全国の博物館・美術館の所蔵目録の調査によって、当初予想した徳川美術館や九州地方の諸機関に首里那覇絵図が所蔵されていないことが判明したので、九州方面の調査旅行は中止した。また、民間の所蔵状況を骨董業界に確認した結果、沖縄記念公園管理財団が新規に収蔵した近代絵図資料が数点存在することが分かった。そこで、近代(琉球処分以降)の首里那覇絵図の調査と那覇港絵図の断片資料の所蔵先(那覇市、浦添市)につき補足調査を併せて行った。その結果、首里・那覇絵図の起源は依然として不明ながら、18世紀初頭から中葉にかけて制作された首里城古絵図、首里古地図そして首里那覇全景図屏風(屋慶名政賀)以降の首里もしくは那覇についての絵図の複数の形式が確認できた。その分析には、別紙調書のようになお時間を要するが、本年度は、18世紀首里城絵図についての一般向けの論考を新聞紙上に3回連載し、首里城聖域部分の名称の解明を主題とする論文(校正済み、雑誌論文4)が本年公表される予定である。調査旅行:5/26-29:東大史料編纂所、東京国立博物館琉球資料、同博物館資料室九州鹿児島地方収蔵琉球資料6/17-19:古河歴史博物館、東京国立博物館資料室にて全国琉球関係資料収蔵状況調査9/1-6:沖縄記念公園管理財団所蔵那覇港図11/18-24:沖縄記念公園管理財団新蔵絵図と森政三資料中の首里絵図調査、県立博物館所蔵資料の閲覧、県立芸術大学附属図書・芸術資料館所蔵の鎌倉芳太郎資料の補足調査12/11-13:首里那覇港図展示研究会(歴史民俗博物館・浦添市美術館共催)参加、県立博物館にて写真撮影3/11:京都大学博物館所蔵「那覇貿易図亅写真依頼3/17-18:西尾市岩瀬文庫琉球関係資料調査3/22-25:那覇市諸機関補足調査3/28-30:東京国立博物館資料室補足調査
