项目摘要

平成20年度の研究実施結果について報告する。平成17年度に完成したアプリケーションソフトウェア(以下、ソフト)を前年度に引続いて、本学における障害学生ならびに支援者の意見を取り入れ、バージョンアップした。その結果、本学で便用するWindowsVista搭載のすべてのパーソナルコンピュータ(以下、パソコン)において安定したが実現した。現時点において、動作上の不都合が生じることはなく、静岡福祉大学における障害学生への情報コミュニケーション支援体制を支えるソフトとして活用されている。なお前年度、報告したように、同ソフトは、聴覚に障害のある生徒及び学生を対象とし授業における音声言語を、パソコンのキーボードを通じて入力者が要約入力し、書記言語に変換し、生徒及び学生に伝達する機能を有し、昨年度には、盲ろう学生にも対応可能な点字ディスプレーへの出力機能を付与したものの、新機能に関する今年度中の実証実験ならびに検証は実現しなかった。対象学生の不在、準備における時間不足がその理由である。しかしながら、本研究の継続的研究ともいえる「日中韓の高等教育機関における障害学生『情報コミュニケーション』支援システムの構築」(平成21年度科研費基盤研究(B))において、同ソフトを活用した実践事例に本研究成果を引き継ぐ予定である。また、本ソフトの動作中に、パソコン画面に表示された文字列を読み上げるスクリーンリーダー(画面読み上げソフト)が並行して動作する機能を付与したが、その事例研究についても、平成21年度科研費研究に引き継ぎたい。本研究は、障害の種別を超えた情報コミュニケーション支援という従来見られなかった発想の枠組みを提供したこと、少子高齢化時代における横断的なボランティア活動の可能性を示したことから、「独創的な発想に基づく、挑戦的で高い目標設定を掲げた芽生え期の研究」である萌芽研究としての役割を果たし得た内容と考える。
