1、私の研究の目的はスコラ哲学の父といわれるアンセルムスから、その大成者といわれるトマス・アクィナスにいたる理想的発展を、特に12世紀における弁証法に注目しながら考察することである。今年度は、これまで研究してきたアンセルムスとトマスの研究を継続しながら、新たにアベラールについて、テキスト、研究書などの資料を収集・分析し、次年度の研究の基礎がためを行った。2、アンセルムスについては『文法家について』のテキストを検討した。彼は〈grammaticus〉を例に取りながら、ことばの持つ2つの機能、本質的な意味作用と、偶然的な指示作用の機能について明らかにしている。アンセルムスは弁証法を具体的な個々の問題の解決のために活用しているが、それは神学の基本的な枠組そのものの変革を意図するものではなかった。3、アベラールの場合も、彼の神学的著作における主たる関心は、神の三位一体といった信仰を知的に解明しようとするものであり、その意味でアンセルムスの「知解を求める信仰」の態度と共通する。しかし、彼は弁証法・論理学についてそれ自身の基礎づけを行っており、このような弁証法を神学に適用することによって、神学的内容そのものに重大な変更を引き起こしたが、同時に、神学をより客観的な学として確立する基礎を確立したと考えられる。しかし、彼はアリストテレスの『自然学』といった体系的知識を利用できなかった。4、トマスはアリストテレスの体系的学を用いて、神学を自然学的考察を含むより客観的な立場から確立していった。ところで彼の論理においてはアナロジア論の考察が不可欠である。それゆえ、今年度は神の単純性の考察、特に〈存在=本質〉の議論をめぐる考察から、アナロジア論の解明の手掛かりを得ようとした。この考察については一部、発表したが、アンセルムス、アベラールについても、次年度以降研究をまとめて行きたいと考えている。
