项目摘要

沖縄のシャーマニズム現象に内在する信仰治療(faith healing)の諸相のうち、シャーマン「ユタ」が成巫過程、巫儀場面で体験する「変性意識状態(ASC)」の治療機能について分析、考察を行った。ASC自体がもつ治療機能のメカニズムについては、その心理・生理的特徴として「弛緩反応(relaxation response)」や「自律性状態(autogenic state)」が指摘でき、いずれもこの状態が生態全体の自己正常化をうながし心身の病的状態から回復させる治療機能をもつ。ASCにともなうこうした生理・心理的状態は、ユタが巫業の中でトランスに入るさいにも生じて、心身の安定維持に役立っていると考えられる。ASCの果たすネガテイヴな側面も無視できない。自律性状態では、「自律性解放(autog enic discharge)」とよばれる、常態と異なるさまざまな心身症状が生じる。これは脳の各部位に抑圧されていた歪みが解放されるさいにあらわれる症状と説明される。自律性解放に対する対処の仕方によっては心身障害をひきおこす危険性もある。また、脱自動化(deautomataization)にともなって生じる人格体制の解体においても、新たな再体制化の可能性と同時に、再体制化の失敗による人格に崩壊の危険性もはらむ。シャーマン「ユタ」が巫病から解放されて巫儀に習熟していく一連の過程を、意識状態と社会的リアリテイの関係に注目してみると、次の4段階が区分できる。(I)リアリテイの混乱しているabnormalな意識状態。(II)複数のリアリテイを分離できるalteredな意識状態。(III)複数のリアリテイを自在に操作できるalternateな意識状態。(IV)意識の変化なしに常態のままで複数のリアリテイを感得できる状態。シャーマンの第一の要件は、複数のリアリテイを感得、操作できることであり、ASC(trance)はシャーマンの絶対条件ではないというのが、沖縄シャーマニズムの研究からみちびかれた結論である。

The possibility of personality system disintegration, the possibility of new re-institutionalization, the failure of re-institutionalization, and the danger of personality collapse. The relationship between consciousness and society is divided into four stages: the process of liberation, the process of learning, the process of consciousness and the relationship between consciousness and society. (I)The abnormal state of consciousness. (II)The state of consciousness is altered. (III)The number of free speech is changed from operation to consciousness. (IV)Consciousness changes from normal to multiple states of consciousness. The first requirement of the system is to sense, operate, and eliminate the condition of the system.
