「親訓練(parent training)」とは,子供に生起した問題行動を直接解決するための指導技術を親に教え,そのプログラムの管理を親に委ねることをいうが,早期療育への関心とも相まってその適用範囲は拡大され,発達遅滞乳幼児の親へも応用されるようになった。しかしながら,親の訓練といってもその意味するところは一様ではなく,訓練の理論的根拠や内容,時期,方法などに関して,多種多様に実行されている。なかで,行動分析の原理を親に指導する行動論的親訓練の有効性は,実証されてきた。本研究では,この行動論的親訓練の観点から,とくに乳幼児期の障害を持つ自分の子供の直接の指導者として親を訓練するために適用可能な親訓練プログラムを開発し,親による家庭指導に際してそのプログラムの臨床的妥当性を検討することを目的とした。早期療育に参加している自閉症,ダウン症,精神遅滞などの発達障害児とその親を対象に選定し,(母)親に対して(1)指導原理の理解(行動分析の原理や行動変容の知識を冊子を用いて習得する),(2)日常行動の自己観察(A-B-C図式で,日常生活場面で問題行動の起こる契機と親の対応が親に観察・記録された),(3)援助技術の実地訓練を実施した。(2)で問題行動の生起とそれへの対応の状況を把握し,(1)で習得した指導原理をそこに適用することを,実地に原理を応用する訓練((3))を通して,問題行動を転減・除去することができた。同時に,発達アセスメントにもとづく個別指導プログラムの作成と親による実行を繰り返すことによって,個別指導プログラムが展開でき,発達援助が実証された。乳幼児期の療育指導への親の参加と訓練の重要性が示されたといえよう。今後,行動論的親訓練の過程を,異なる種別の障害乳幼児とその親を対象に含めて,さらに詳細に分析・検討を行い,より普遍的・総合的な親訓練プログラムの構築をめざすものである。
