项目摘要

1、アイヌにおける伝統的な漁労体験をもつ古老から漁具・漁法について聞き取り調査を実施した。ことにメカジキ漁について、これまで知られていなかった漁場の位置や漁法の内容を詳細に明らかにできる成果を得た。これによって、従来のコタン(集落)単位における生産領域(イオル)に関して多くの訂正が必要なことが明らかになった。2、市立函館図書館、北海道大学北方資料室、文部省史料館などに所蔵されるアイヌの漁具・漁法に関する古記録の調査を進めたところ、予想以上の該当する資料の存在とその内容はすぐれたものであり、この分析を継続的におこなえば、歴史的な変化の過程を体系的に復元できる見通しが得られた。3、前記1と2のデータをつき合わせて総合的に分析することが今後必要であり、これには相当な時間と調査体制をとらねばならない。しかし、今回の予備的な調査でも、アイヌの漁具・漁法についての歴史的な変化だけでなく、交易経済と連動する地域社会の変容などの問題についても、これまでよりも明確な把握が可能になった。すなわち、交易の対象となる商品性の高い生産物に対応して、漁具・漁法の改良がめざましいことが確認できたたことである。

The improvement of fishing gear and fishing methods is confirmed by the high quality of commodities and trade.
