本研究は、ボレル可測集合を状態及び行動空間にもつ一般マルコフ決定過程とその適応制御への応用の研究を目的としている。主な研究成果は次の通りである。1.1つの政策に対して定義されていたoccupation measureの概念を政策の系列に対してまで拡張し、その最適化への応用範囲を拡大した。これによって最適解の存在やその構成法の証明が見通しよくかつボレル可測性のもとで考察できるようになった。割り引きされた総コスト基準の場合におけるこれらの成果はComputers&Mathematical Applications(1994)に掲載予定である。平均コスト基準の場合についても結果を得ており近々論文にまとめて発表する予定である。上記の解析法は多目的な場合や確率ゲームの解析にも適用可能であり、今後の研究課題である。2.適応制御モデルへの応用として、fuzzy dynamic systemの研究に取り組んだ。fuzzy関係に対するPotentialを定義し、縮小性の仮定のもとでその存在を証明した。また、線形性を導入してPotentialに対するfuzzy関係方程式による特徴付けを行った。これらの成果はFuzzy Sets and Systems(Vol.60,1993,PP.283-294)に掲載されている。Potentialに関するこの成果は、Markov性をもつfuzzy decision processの研究への展望を開くものと期待される。その他にも、本研究に参加した研究者は、本研究の研究実施計画にもとづき、精力的に研究を行い、それぞれ一定の成果をおさめ、研究論文として発表されている。
