A study on Inclusion of Mentally Retarded Children into the Regular Physical Education Classes.

某小学特长班的5名弱智儿童与正常儿童一起参加了为期一年的每周3次的综合体育课。本研究的目的是观察儿童全年的态度变化，以及他们对班级的适应程度和每个班级的体育活动水平。计步器测量结果显示，智障者的智商显著低于非智障者。计步器值差异最大的是球类活动，最小的是创意舞蹈活动。根据老师的评价，他们对课堂的适应逐渐提高，两组之间的麻烦在前两个月经常发生，在第三个月后明显减少。

Five mentally retarded children in an elementary school supecial class took the integrated physical education classes for a year three times a week with normal childre. The purpose of this study was to observe changes in the attitude of the children throughout the year with the respect to their adaptation to the classes and in the level of physical activity level in each calss. Measurement by pedometer showed that of the retarded was significantly lower than that of the nonretarde. The largestest difference in pedomeeter value was observed in ball game activity, and the smallest difference appearde in creative dance activity. According to teacher evaluation, their adaptation to the classes gradually improved, and the troubles between the two groups, which very often happened in the first two months, decreased markedly after the third months.
