英文摘要
Far-wing excitation and probe approach is employed to investigate the transit-region dynamics of the collisions of Hg (^3P_1) with the rare-gas atoms and the diatomic molecules. The following results are obtained :(1)The absolute absorption coefficients have been determined for the red- and blue-wings of the Hg resonance line at 253.7nm broadened by He, Ne, Ar, N_2, CO,H_2 and D_2. The unduratory satellite structures in the blue wing of the Hg resonance line broadened by Ar are investigated theoretically.(2)The far-wing pump and probe (FEP) technique has been applied to the far-wings of the Hg resonance line broadened by N_2 and CO to srudy the transit-region dynamics of the fine-structure transitions : Hg^<**>(^3P_1)+N_2, CO * Hg^<**>(^3P_0)+N_2, CO.The FEP technique has been also used to study the transit-region dynamics of the chemical reactions : Hg^<**>(^3P_1)+H_2, D_2, HD * HgH,HgD(CHI_2SIGMA^+, v, j)+H,D.Combining the results of (1) and (2), we have determined the probabilities for the transit regions ^^- and ^^- of the collisional quasimolecules to decay to the individual final states of the above collisional processes.As for the Hg^*-H_2 reactive collisiions, the ^^- state is found to be three times more effective in producing HgH than the ^^- state. We have concluded that no "early" barrior is expected on both of the ^^- state and ^^- state surfaces in the entrance channel of the HgH formation.
