Biological decomposition of agricultural chemicals in water resources

由于CAT和CNP在饮用水质量标准中被新设定为有毒化学物质，因此本研究选择这两种化合物作为研究的目标化学物质。这项研究中最重要的一点是评估分解前后的毒性水平。即使分解发生了，当水平被主要保持时，它也一定没有意义。用琵琶湖水进行实验，发现了副产物，并分离出了分解CAT和CNN的特定微生物。然而，到目前为止，这些物质还没有被确定，分解后的毒性水平还没有解决，以便下一步研究。

CAT and CNP were selected as target chemicals in this study, becase these two were newly set as toxic chemicals in the drinking quality standards. Most important point in this study is to assess the toxcic levels between pre and postconditions of the decomposition. Even if decomposition is occurred, it must have no significance when the level is main tained. From experiments with Lake Biwa water, by-products were found, and specific microarganisms to decompose CAT and CNN were separated. However, these were not identified So far, and the toxic level after the decomposition was left unsolved for the next step of the study.
