1.ヴィラール画帖の復原・復刻ハーンロ-ザ本その他写真印刷複写図版について、写真製版の専門家の意見を徴したところ、ピント合わせで縮尺の差が生じ図版の不同を招いたもので、複写による歪みは殆ど生じないこと、CGによる部分的変形修正は困難であることが判明した。一方、ラシュス本図が原本に合致すると見られたので、これによってローマ吋格子の適合を確認し、バラ窓などの原図における変形を修正し得た。中世手稿本関連図書の入手調査により、ヴィラール画帖の書体や記載法の根拠が明らかになったほか、犢皮紙サンプルの半透明性などの性質を把握した。現代の類似用紙も製造されていることが知られたものの、サンプル帳だけでも相当高価であり、大量使用は困難と見られた。某洋書古書肆が1995年に完成した、チョーサー著書羊皮紙手稿本の復原刊行作業の内容を調査した。極彩色大版460ページの豪華本であるが、1冊150万円相当の巨費を要したとされる。ヴィラール画帖の復原計画については、関係者の意見をなお調査中であるが、今後の課題とせざるを得ないこととなった。2.画帖図版の主題別整理画帖全図柄コピーを個々に切り離し、建築図・人物図・動物図等々により分類整理し、上記格子解析を併用して並べ直しを試みた。人物図について4種の寸法類別のあることなどが判明した。全図柄を網羅したカタログ標本ができ、画帖の全体把握・参照と索引が極めて容易となった。
