项目摘要

研究代表者藤本は、R.ベックマン著「ヴィラ-ル・ド・オヌク-ル、13世紀の技術思潮とその交流」(1991年)の訳読・考察を中心に研究を進めた。その結果、これまで諸文献に見出されなかった多くの事項が明らかになった。ヴィラ-ルの出身地とされるオヌク-ルの地理的位置の重要性や、そこに建てられた古教会堂の様子が知られた。13世紀の建築工事の実態とその文化的・経済的背景が示された。特にヴィラ-ルが節約に工夫をこらした建築用木材の供給不足が、鉱・工業用木炭の需要に大きく起因していることは、これまであまり触れられなかった問題である。幾何学応用の図形作法について、ベックマンは自己の新しい解釈を幾つか示しているが、われわれの16目方眼・尺度関係の解析レベルに達していないことが判明した。逆に截石法については密度の高い解析が進んでいる。その一部を立体幾何学的に検討し得た。以上の他、C.ランバ、E.プリュヌらの論文の一部訳読を進めた。各論文の未収集図版・写真を複写・カ-ド化し,フロッピ-ディスクに登録・整理を行った。分担者竹内は、C.ハイツ著「カロリング期宗教建築」の訳読を完了。ヴィラ-ル達ゴシック建築家の知識と抜術の、カロリング期における萌芽的要素と、古代技術との対応について検討した。分担者西田は、ヴィラ-ルの描くシト-会教会堂の平面構成における正三角形図式の再評価を行い、「ベルナ-ル式平面」に比肩し得る設計理念が見られることを明らかにした。以上の成果について、学会発表を準備し、関連研究図書の発行についても検討を進めている。
