It is the purpose of this report to consider the framework of the planning for modern dwelling in our country by taking note of the order in the family relationship from a viewpoint of Housing Culture Theory. The result of the analysis of the questionnaire objected the whole our country (2,525 cases), detailed investigation of housing life (46 cases), Video Tape Recording investigation of Home Circle (15 cases), clarified several points as follows.1. On children's rooms in private space, we provided "Privatism Phenomenon" , that is "Some living behaviors are excessively brought into a private room in spite of the needlessness of their becoming private" , and considered this causes. We found out that those living behaviors make a norm of the concept of children's room as a room usually for children, a concept for users 2. On a master bedroom in the same, the result of consideration about stability, exclusiveness, scale and interior layout of a master bedroom, we found out that a master … More bedroom is generally accepted rather as a room for sleeping, a concept for particular behaviors than not a concept for users like Europe and America. And this caused by the formation of a couple relation like Europe and America becoming late after World War.3. On "Ima" (a living room) in public space, in process of modern dwelling formed in our country, the result of analysis of a given name, "Ima" , we found that the concept can be classified into two, i.e., a living room as a room usually for a husband and his wife, a concept for users, and a living room as a room for Home Circle, a concept for general behaviors, particularly a living room usually for a husband and his wife changed into "Ima" as a room for Home Circle. And now in spite of its function as a room for Home Circle, it is strongly persists the character that parents are main users. And this tendency makes family communication some problems, so we need to form family relationship and living behavior-style with children in the center.4.
