Research for the Various Utilizations of the Waterway Space in Urbanized Area.

The purpose of this research is to clarify the value of the waterway space structure through observation on the ways of the utilization of running waterways and its space in the villages and urban area.This research was done by collecting informations through the questionnaires and the field survey, then picking out the features, relations and systems among the four elements such as (1) the section, (2) the running condition, (3) the arrangement system and (4) the utilized space.The feature of this research is that 50 water ways being selected throughout Japan were surveyed.The success of this research was to get the analyses in the two fields as (1) a classification of the arrangement system and (2) an interrelation between the act of utilization and an attribute.
