Visualization of Algorithms

1. 我们正在大力推进分布式算法的研究。验证新算法的正确性是非常困难的。这就产生了一个分布式算法模拟器，它对发现算法中的错误非常有用。该模拟器在可视化和可操作性方面设计得非常仔细。我们介绍了场景语言和相关的多媒体表示系统的概念，并给出了它的设计和原型。我们已经实施并使用了一个教育演示系统CDi。它在日常课堂中使用非常有效。我们正在不断改进它的功能。还实现了一个彗星虚拟机的教育模拟器。它被用在新生的课堂上，目的是教授计算机如何工作以及如何开发汇编语言程序。学生们正在享受模拟器。

1. We are promoting the reseach on distributed algorithms intensively. It is very difficult to verify the correctness of new algorithms. This led to a ditributed algorithm simulator and it is very useful to find out bugs in the algorithm. The simulator is designed very carefully with respect to visualization and manpulation.2. We introduced concepts of a scenario language and an associated multimedia presentation system and presented its design and prototype.3. We have implemented and used an educational presentation system CDi. It is used very effectively in daily class room. We are continuousky improving its functionality.4. Also implemented an efucational simulator of a virtual machine comet. It is used in a freshmen's class for the purpose to teach how computer works and how to develop assembly langauge programs. The students are enjoying the simulator.
