The High Utilization of Heterogeneous databases for Japanese Literary Research Work.

对于日本文学研究著作，基本信息被分为三类，1)原始文学文献(手写和印刷的旧书、缩微副本等)，2)二次来源(印刷书籍、期刊、目录、书目等)，3)全文信息(词汇、KWIC索引等)本项目的目的是建立日本文学研究活动中数据库组织的三个阶段概念。针对国立日本文学研究所的日常活动，在大型主机上设计和实现了各种异质数据库的形成、管理和利用系统。然后，将多媒体数据库组织成主机和工作站(SUN 3)。特别是开发了缩微古籍目录数据库的光盘版，在高级工作站(如US、SUN-3、MAQ等)上对多媒体数据库的信息检索与处理系统进行了可行性研究。利用红外辐射，可以从衬底的底部观察到半导体晶体LPE生长过程中的液/固界面。利用红外显微镜的原位观察技术被证明具有研究LPE生长过程的潜力。

For Japanese Literary research works, the essential information is classified to three categories, 1) Original literary documents (handwritten and printed old books, microformed copies, etc ), 2) secondary Sources ( printed books, periodicals, catalogs, bibliographies, etc ), and 3) fulltext information ( vocabulary, KWIC index, etc This project has an object to establish the three phase concepts for organizing the database in Japanese literary research activities. The system for the formation, management and utilization of the various heterogeneous databases is designed and implemented to the large host computer, on the daily activities of the National Institute of Japanese Literature. Then, the multimedia database are organized to host computer and workstations ( SUN 3 ). Particularly, the CD-ROM version of the catalog database for the microformed old books are developed.The information retrieval and processing system for the multimedia database are studied feasibly, on the high-level workstation ( such us, SUN-3, MAQ, etc ).955772Most semiconductor crystal are transparent to infrared radiation. Using infrared radiation, it is possible to observe the liquid/solid interface from the bottom side of the substrate during the process of LPE growth of semiconductor crystals. An in-situ observation technique using an infrared microscope was shown to have a potential for the study of LPE growth processes .
