项目摘要

本研究の目的は、スポーツイベントに参加するツーリストの消費行動と支出傾向を調査することによって日本人のスポーツ・ツーリズムの実態を明らかにすると共に、スポーツ・ツアーがスポーツイベント開催地にもたらす経済効果を考究することであった。具体的には、1993年2月末にフィールド調査(奥日光クロスカントリースキー大会)で収集したデータの分析を行い、その研究成果を平成5年度の日本体育学会(11月大阪府)において発表するとともに、鹿屋体育大学研究紀要第11巻に『スポーツ・ツーリズムに関する研究II』として掲載される。また、1992年11月に実施した日本最大のウォーキングイベントである日本スリーデーマーチ(埼玉県東松山市)の調査データを分析・検討し、国際保健体育レクリエーシヨン協議会(ICHPER)第36年次世界大会(横浜市開催:1993年8月18〜22日)に『A Study of Japanese Sport Tourists』として発表し、Proceedingsに掲載されている。さらに、日本ウォーキング研究会第3回定例発表会(1993年9月28日:東京)において発表した。1993年11月には全国レベルの生涯スポーツイベントである日本スリーデーマーチの追跡調査を実施し、本助成金の研究成果報告書『スポーツ・ツーリズムと経済効果に関する研究』(印刷中)の参考資料として発表することになつている。生涯スポーツイベントよりもエリートスポーツイベント的な全国レベルの大会としてトライアスロンジャパンカップイン佐渡大会(新潟県佐渡島:1993年9月)を遊び、トライアスリートのフィールド調査を実施し、データの分析・検討を行い、前述の「奥日光クロスカントリースキー大会」と「日本スリーデーマーチ」の研究成果と併せて、月刊社会教育に『地域におけるスポーツイベントの動向』として発表し、さらに日本のスポーツ・ツーリズムの実態とその経済効果をまとめ、研究成果報告書『スポーツ・ツーリズムと経済効果に関する研究』(印刷中)を作成した。
