本研究課題は「『東寺百合文書』を中心とした室町幕府・守護・国人体制と荘園体制的秩序の構造的研究」である。この研究課題を進めるために、本年度は『東寺百合文書』の索引の作成の第一段階としてOCRソフトを使用して、京都府総合資料館編『東寺百合文書目録』1巻〜5巻(吉川弘文館)から函ごとの文書番号にそって文書名を入力の作業を行った。その際、文書のサイズは省略した。現在市販のOCRソフトによる認識率は、とくに縦書きの漢字を中心としてテキストの場合は80%を割るとおもわれるほど低く、手作業による修正入力で思いのほか、時間をさかれている。それでも現在、1巻の文書番号と文書名の入力は終わり、2・3・4・5巻のそれぞれ10分の1弱程度の入力の状態になっている。入力した一部はMSDOSテキスト・フアイルからデーター・ベース・ソフトの『桐』VER4に読み込んでいるが、まだ索引の項目の仮決定のような状況である。来年度以降も、『東寺百合文書目録』の残存部の入力を引続き行う予定である。その上でデーター・ベース・ソフトによる整理の作業を行い、刊行された『岡山県史』『兵庫県史』『相生市史』などとのつきあわせを行って、未翻刻文書を確定し、国名・荘園名・件名などの使用上必要な索引の作成を行く所存である。しかし、入力の作業費用のこともあり、未完成ながらも形をなすには、なお数年の時間を要すると思われる。また、これと並行して現地調査・文書の解読も次の課題として進めていきたい。本年度の研究成果は目に見えるほどの十分な成果となってはいないが、何にぶんとも日本中世史料中の最大の文書群であり、長期にわたる作業を必要としており、今後の進展にむけて長い目で見ていただきたい。

In the process of organizing, publishing,"Okayama Prefecture History,""Hyogo Prefecture History,""Aoi City History," confirming, identifying, and creating necessary indexes for the use of uncopied documents, country names, garden names, and case names. The cost of labor and labor is not complete. The problem of solving problems in local investigations and documents should be solved in parallel. This year's research results are the largest group of documents in the history of the Middle Ages in Japan. Long-term work is necessary. Future progress is expected.
