项目摘要

本研究は、平成5・6・7年度と3年間に亙り、京都の歴史的・文学的遺跡を撮影機によって記録してきた。それは、地域発展という名目による開発が、自然環境のみならず歴史的・文学的遺跡までも次第に破壊しているので、それらの文化遺産の消滅を憂慮し、画像と映像資料に記録する必要性を痛感したからである。平成5年度に、京都の出入口の七街道の内の東海道、山陽道、山陰道を、平成6年度に北陸道と南海道について研究を行ったので、今年度は東山道と西海道の実地踏査を行った。実地踏査の事前準備として、それぞれの街道の位置を古地図によって確認した上で、名所図会や洛中洛外図などの絵画資料を写真によって収集整理した。また、それぞれの街道に関係する作家及び作品を調査した。以上の文献調査に基づき、東山道と西海道を実施に踏査し、歴史的、文学的遺跡をカメラとビデオカメラで撮影し記録した。写真の画像資料の一部は、フォトCDとした。これらの映像資料は後にデータベース化する予定である。また、江戸時代に出版された名所図会に描かれた絵画資料から、洛中・洛外および三街道の風俗・習慣・年中行事などを明らかにする展示会、「名所図会の江戸時代風俗」を龍谷大学図書館において行った。今年度の実地踏査研究によって、過去2年間同様、環境破壊の進行を目の当たりにしたが、それ以外にも、作家や作家の関係者の墓碣が自然に剥落している物が存外多いことを確認した。この点は従来見落としていたことである。京都には『京都名家墳墓録』という名著があるが、そこに紹介されている墓碣だけでも早急に画像や映像として記録する必要性を痛感した。
