1.整数論における研究テーマとして、円分体の類数公式の算術的表示を扱った。研究代表者は他の2人の研究者と共に、実2次体についてディレクレの類数公式を変形して、有理数の範囲でこの公式と同等の意味をもつ合同式を導いた。この結果は、既に講演を行い論文は外国の雑誌で掲載予定であるが、この研究期間中にレフェリーの示唆により証明の簡略化を行った。さらにこのテーマに関しては、虚アーベル体の類数公式に現れる一般ベルヌイ数について考察し、より早い類数計算のため、このベルヌイ数と項数の少ない指標和に対する幾つかの等式および合同式を導き、その応用として2次体の類数に対する合同式を提示した。この結果を他の研究者に連絡したところ評価を得たので、論文にまとめ専門誌に投稿している。2.周辺の分野については、先ず研究代表者は共同で、スペクトル拡散通信に関して2値系列の奇相関分布の近似式を提示し、それが高速で計算できることを示した。これは論文発表している。また、符号理論について代数幾何符号の1つである楕円符号の最小距離を研究し、最小距離が限界の値を取る場合を幾何学的手法だけで特定した。これも既に外国の専門誌に投稿している。3.研究分担者の1人は数論的代数幾何の分野において、代数曲線のモジュライ空間に関してタイヒミュラーモジュラー形式という概念を導入し、その構造、特にジーゲルモジュラー形式との関係について貴重な成果をあげている。また、別の研究分担者は共同研究で、一般フィボナッチ数列の正整数を法としたときの周期について考察し整数論的手法で幾つかの結果を導いている。これらの結果は既に論文発表されているか発表予定である。
