本年度の研究実績は次のとうりである.n次元ユークリッド空間におけるハ-デ-・リトルウッドの最大値関数の様子については通常のルベ-グのL^p(R^n)空間の場合にはすでによく知られている.関数φ(t)は区間[0,∞)で定義され,φ(0)=0である単調増加関数とする.関数φによって定義されるオ-リッツ空間を、L^φ(R^n)によって表す.オ-リッツ空間L^φ(R^n)の関数fの最大値関数Mf(x)が別のオ-リッツ空間L^φ(R^n)に連続に作用するための必要十分条件を与える不等式を発見することに成功した.この結果は論文にまとめ現在アメリカ数学会の数学雑誌に投稿中である.又,上記結果の逆の不等式が成立するための必要十分条件を与えることができた.この結果はポーランドの数学雑誌studia mathematicaに投稿中である.上記の結果はいずれも微分作用素や積分作用素の理論への応用ができるものと期待している.又,筆者はBMO(T)関数のFourier級数の概収束及びその周辺の結果をまとめて発表した(Acta Math.Hungar.65(4)1994,339-360).又,Zyginund classに属す関数のFourier級数の概収束についてのその周辺の結果についても新しい結果を発表した(Acta Math.Hungar.67(1-2)1995,97-107).又,家本は集合論的位相空間論の立場から無限直積空間に関して次の事を証明した.無限直積空間の稠密な部分空間がortho compactならばそれはk-metacompactとなる.この結果はアメリカ数学会の雑誌Proceedingに掲載された.(Proc.AMS vol.120 591-596 1994).又,緒方は幾何学の方面で,森は統計学の分野で論文を大分大学教育学部研究紀要に発表した.
