The Korean Officials of Chosen Government-General and the Postwar Korean Society

本研究的目的是建立一个卡片式的资料库，以研究二战结束前在朝鲜政府任职的韩国人的战后状况。本研究的目的是：（1）进一步收集资料，（2）分析资料，（3）利用计算机进行资料的筛选和资料库的建立，（4）资料的检索。关于（1），我们可以在战后立即收集与韩国有关的相对重要的信息。然而，很难收集有关朝鲜的重要数据。关于（2），我们制作了大约3000张卡片来整理有关韩国的数据。对于第（3）项，我们选取了600多张卡片，开始将其输入计算机数据库。关于（4），我们从600 cards数据库中搜索职业、年龄、家乡。研究结果表明：（1）至少在战后的韩国，大部分的前总统府官员也成为官员。（2）年龄以30 ~ 40岁为主。(3)韩国自由化前后的职业和工作类型非常相似。(4)有一种倾向，这些官员是积极的政治家。

The purpose of this study is construct a card-type data base in order to research the postwar situation of Koreans who were working for Chosen Government-General as officials until the end of the Wourld War II.Our study aimed at the following items : (1) a further collection of data, (2) analysis of the data, (3) selection of data and construction of data base using computer, (4)data search. With respect to (1), we could collect rela tively significant information related to South Korea immediately after the war. However, it was difficult to collect significant data concerning North Korea. With respect to (2), we made about 3000cards to arrange data concerning South Korea. With respect to (3), we selected about 600cards which pursuite the postwar situation of Chosen Government-General officials and start to put into computer data base. With respect to (4), we search occupations, ages, hometowns from the 600cards data base. The result showed the following : (1)At least in postwar South Korea most of ex-officials of Chosen Government-General also become working as officials. (2)Their ages were mostly 30's and 40's. (3) The occupation and the type of the job were very similar before and after the liberalization of Korea. (4) There was a tendency that these officials were active as politicians.
