本年度は、不等標数完備局所環上にBig Cohen-Macaulay加群を構成する研究を行った。我々は、先ず、不等標数完備局所環の構造定理と、H.FlennerによるBertini定理を用い、不等標数不分岐完備正則局所環のpを含む開集合上エタールな場合に帰着し、次に、p-進ヘンゼル化とFrobenius写像との関係を考察した。更に、Hochsterのmodificationの近似と不等標数完備局所環の構造定理との関係を研究した。また、特異点解消問題とGroebner基底との関連についても考察した。奥山は、代数的組み合わせ論のassociation schemeの問題から派生した群の既約指標に関する問題を考察した。これは、数理物理の共形場理論や、Linkのinvariantと関わるSpin modelの理論と関係がある問題である。福井、八ツ井、長谷川は、微分幾何学の諸問題、Lie代数のSpencer cohomologyや、Kaehler多様体の射影変換、球面の特徴付け、を研究した。
