保型関数論を用いて、代数体のL-関数の特殊値、代数体の類数、さらに整係数2次形成についての研究を行った。ヒルベルト・アイゼンシュタイン級数を領域を制限して楕円保型形式を得て、そのフーリエ係数をみることによって代数体のゼータ関数の特殊値を調べるというのはKlingen,Scegelらによって開発された手法である。これは定数項にゼータ関数の特殊値が現われること利用している。これに、レベルをあげる及びヒルベルト・アイゼンシュタイン級数のある一次結合を考えるという一般化を行うことによってL-関数の特殊値を求めることに使えるのを示した。これにより、代数体の次数が小さいときの、計算可能な類数公式も得た。またこうして得られた楕円保型形式が、ある半整数ウェイトの楕円保型形式の志村ソフトになることを示すことができ、これにより奇数個の変数を持つ正値2次形式の数の表現についても結果を得た。なお志村リストとの関連は研究を継続中である。
