项目摘要

研究代表者とその共同研究者にとって、アフィン・リー環をゲージとする射影直線上の共形場から作られた、古典リー環gに対応するBirman-Wenzl-村上代数C_-N(g)の表現の既約性と同値性の問題は大きなテーマであった。その準備のため、代表者は、可解格子模型のBoltzmanウェイトの実現を用いてC_-N(g)のすべての既約表現の構成を行っている。しかしながら、この二つの構成の同値性を証明するには、共形場理論に即してC_-N(g)のマルコフ・トレースを作る必要があったが、長く成功していなかった。共形場理論は近年目ざましい発展を遂げており、そのうちに極小モデルに対するVerlindeの代数的取り扱いの進展があり、類似の作業をアフィン・ゲージの場合に実行すれば良いと言うことを確認した。かつ、成功の見込みも立ったという状況である。
