古典型の単純リ-環Xnに対応するアフィン・リ-環Xn^<(1)>の積分可能表現によるゲ-ジ不変性を持つ共形場の理論を展開する。ファィンマン図式での外線にXnの同じ表現を与えると、相関関数の空間が定まり、対応する微分方程式のモノドロミ-問題が生じ、絡み目群の表現が得られる。特にこの表現としてXnの自然表側を選べば、バ-マン・ウェンツェル・村上(BWMー)代数と呼ばれるブラウワ-代数のqーアナロ-グ(有限次元代数)の表現が得られる。この表現は既約性と同値性の問題を考えるため、Xnの自然表現に付随した2次元統計力学の格子模型に於いて、神保らによって計算されたボルツマン・ウェイトを利用する。つまり、抽象的にウェイトの道の空間を考え、その上にボルツマン・ウェイトの三角関数極限を使って、BWMー代数の表現を作り、既約性と同値性の問題を解いた。更にマルコフ・トレ-スの存在を示すことにより、BWMー代数の半単純な商代数を通して作用していることを示した。更にBWMー代数のモノドロミ-表現がこうして得られた表現と同値であることが示される。この際BWMー代数が含んでいるパラメ-タqが問題になる。qが1の巾根でない場合には、qーアナロ-グの理論は比較的簡単であるが、1の巾根になる場合には複雑になる。今の場合、共形場の理論そのものが1の巾根から始まっており、qが1の巾根の場合を含めて証明を得ることが出来る。qが1の巾根の場合の研究には、整数論的な側面が重要であるが、副産物として露峰氏の業績が得られた。共形場の理論を積分可能表現以外にも展開する必要があるが、これには脇本氏らの業績が重要である。又無限次元の解析の適用の際、石谷氏らの業績との関連性が見出される。
